WELCOME TO LIVING WORD CHURCH

WE ARE THE OPEN DOOR

It is our passion to provide a place where people just like you can have a life-changing experience with God. At Living Word, we welcome people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. We are a multi-cultural and multi-generational community where Jesus Christ is honored and adored.

What people usually notice first about us is the life-giving nature of our ministry. Our goal is to infuse life and God’s love into people and families through engaging, powerful worship services that offer biblical truth in relevant and practical ways.

WE ARE THE BODY OF BELIEVERS

Together, we’re striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible, where there’s relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer and compassionate care for those in need. In short, we’d like to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage the entire community, one life at a time.

So whether you’re a spiritual seeker who’s just starting to ask questions about God, or a committed Christian who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at Living Word. In the meantime, you’ll find everything you need right here to get connected to Living Word’s online resources. You can use this site to check out our Student Ministries, listen or watch one of our weekend services, find information on our life groups, or read about what’s going on around the church.

WE ARE FOUNDED ON PRINCIPLES

Our core values define our approach to everything we do. They are:

  • Reach the Unchurched (Matthew 5:14; John 13:34-35)
  • Worship with Passion (Luke 19:40; Psalms 34:1)
  • Teach for Transformation (Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 3:18)
  • Love with Action (1 John 3:18; Luke 10:33-35)
  • Leave a Legacy (Genesis 6:9; John 20:21)

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible authoritative Word of God. - II Timothy 3:16

We believe in one God, Maker of all things who eternally exists in Trinity as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. - I John 5:4-7 ; John 1:1-14

We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. - I Corinthians 15:3 ; I Peter 2:23-24 ; John 3:16

We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. - Romans 3:21-30; Galatians 4:4-7

We believe the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the new birth. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance. - Matthew 3:11 ; John 14:16,17 ; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38,39; Acts 19:1-7; Acts 2:1-4

We believe baptism in water is by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian's identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. - Matthew 28:19 ; Romans 6:4 ; Colossians 2:12 ; Acts 8:36-39

We believe the Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ's return. - Hebrews 12:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:23;2 Peter 3:18; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Phil. 3:12-14; 1 Corinthians 1:30

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life and those who are lost unto damnation.- John 5:24-29

We believe healing is for the physical ills of the human body. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of every member of the Church today. - James 5:14,15; Mark 16:18; Isaiah. 53:4,5; Matthew. 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24

We believe in the eminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. - I Thessalonians 4:18; Revelations 21:20

WE WORSHIP WITH PASSION

Living Word Worship is the sound of the Living Word. Stephan Stewart and this team of worship leaders leads our local church into the presence of God during every worship experience. Since 2013, our worship team has also written and recorded songs that reflect the victory that we have found in Jesus. These anthems capture the heart of our church as we celebrate God’s faithfulness and our gratitude for the work of Christ in our lives.

Please visit our worship page for more information about how we give thanks to God through song.
